I have a netgear router DG834G that has connected to it via cable a
laptop (xp). I also has in a different room another laptop (win98) that
has a wireless card plugged into the side that works fine. My problem
is that when I tried to use the laptop that has the ethernet cable
wirelessly nothing happens. Gone through the procedures of noting the
wireless mac address and listing it on my routers 'trusted computers' .
All the signs shows that the laptop is trying to communicate (signal
strength is OK - status OK). At this point I'm not sure where the fault
lies (laptop or router). If the problems on the laptop is there a
setting that needs changing . Laptop has Norton's Internet security
software). I'd appreciate the advice

Thanks
Des
