Hi,
I recently installed SuSE 9.2 on AMD64 and the network card has been
detected correctly. I connect to a Speedtouch router through an ethernet
cable which has a good connection to the internet via MS Windows. The SuSE
firewall is switched off.
I can't get access to the router, not to say the internet. I have tried
pinging the router but get message "Network is unreachable". I've trawled a
few newgroups and have established you need to run ifdown, ifconfig and ip
addr so here is the output from these:
-- ifdown ---

Can anyone decipher these and perhaps point me at the rows that may be
causing the problem.
Much appreciated,
David
