Hi,

I have a network at home that uses a linux gateway for the internet. I am
using my modem as a bridged modem with raspppoe on the linux box as shown
below:

eth0
eth1
static ip
192.168.0.1
202.x.x.x
internet -------- bridged -------------- linux gateway -------------
internal lan
modem
(192.168.1.1)

my question is is there a way i set the route or iptable rule so that i can
bring up a browser on my linux gateway and punch in 192.168.1.1 to access
the modems web admin. I have tried many things but nothing seems to work.

Thanks,

Mike

Not sure what you are after, but if it has to do with (cable) modem
access, you probably need something like this:
http://192.168.100.1/startup.html <- Motorola site for Surboards (and
others)
Not sure what the dsl modems are using.

Not aware that any of the modems actually have a "built-in" web
interface.
Also try here if your looking to get at the "insides" to diagnose
something:
http://www.tcniso.net/ <- useful for cable modems

hth,
