I am trying to connect a Cisco switch to a PC monitor, having seen the
prices of “old” Wyse-type vdu’s. About £45 in the UK. Naturally the
switch end is an RJ45 plug, and normally the vdu would have a serial
port input.
If I try and use a PC monitor does an adapter exist that will allow
the RJ45 lead to input to the PC monitor? It seems like I need to
convert the cable to a VGA input. Unheard of, impossible, I hope not,
thanks in advance,
