Roaming Profiles Trouble....

Hi All,
I have a Windows 2003 Server that I have migrated data from an NT 4 box. The
trouble is when logging in with an XP machine, I get serveral profile
errors.
The event IDs are:
1525 - Windows has detected that Offline Caching is enabled on the Roaming
Profile share - to avoid potential profile corruption, Offline Caching must
be disabled on shares where roaming user profiles are stored.

Then I get:
1506 - Your roaming profile is not available. You are logged on with the
locally stored profile. Changes to the profile will not be copied to the
server. Possible causes of this error include network problems or
insufficient security rights. If this problem persists, contact your network
administrator.

DETAIL - Access is denied.

Then...
1511 - Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a
temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you
log off.

I have looked at the security of the home folder on the server and nothing
looks wrong.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanx
Allen

Check the properties of the share where the roaming
profiles are located. On the General tab there should be
an 'Offline Settings' button. This will bring up another
dialog - the bottom option ('Files or programs from the
share will not be available offline') must be selected.

Check the NTFS permissions and ownership of the roaming
profile folders. From what I know, XP running together
with 2k or 2k3 server requires the roaming profile to be
owned by the user who accesses it. Also, for 2k3, the
default permission for shares is read only access - this
should be changed to everyone having full control
(otherwise the profiles cannot be saved back onto the
server) - security will be handled by NTFS permsissions.

You are getting this because of the previous error - if
it thinks the roaming profile is unavailable the system
will use a default profile.
