Does any UK network offer special deals, options or benefits in connection
with overseas data roaming charges? I'm especially interested in USA, which
means roaming to ATT or T-Mobile or some virtual networks that use their
infrastructure. Or does anyone know of an affordable (cheap) US data plan for
small usage (maybe 100 MB per month or so) without an annual contract?

Thanks for the suggestions. I just took a look at the Straight Talk site and
it seems that service is not available without using a phone that they
supply. I entered the IMEI of one of my own phones into the activation site,
where I presume one would buy a plan https://www.straighttalk.com/Activate,
and was told "The Serial Number you entered was not found in our system."

Straight Talk's present incarnation appears to be a virtual network using
Verizon Wireless towers - hence CDMA. If and when ATT Mobility starts to
provide bandwidth to Walmart for its Straight Talk then maybe those ATT SIMs
will work in my unlocked phones.
