Hi.

I have a ISA 2004 server that is used to route four internal networks and a
Internet connection together. On one of the internal networks we have all
the servers, and on of these mashines is suppose to act as a RIS server.
There are no "deny rules" between the internal networks.

The ISA server also acts as a DHCP server, and I have manualy entered the
needed information into the DHCP options so PXE clients will be abel to find
the RIS server, and they do. But, when the client have executed the
"startrom.com" file, and we are asked to press F12 to boot, we recive the
message: "TFTP download failed".

I took a look in the ISA log, and I can't seem to find anything that
indicates that the firewall/router is blocking any needed traffic between to
RIS server and the PXE client.

Any one with experience on this problem?

Hi, again.

Ok, I managed to get this to work. It seems that the RIS Bootdisk dosen't
like / very much in the searchpath. When I moved the files in the directory
"\RemoteInstallation\OSChooise\Setup\I386" to "\RemoteInstallation" it
started to work just fine. I have no idea why, but it works.

Anyone that have experiensed the same problem/solution?

/Johan Ch
