I set up a RIS server and then tried to boot from the network card. The
problem is that when it tries to boot it looks for a DHCP server. I am giving
out DHCP from a router but I guess it can't find that? So my question is can
set up a DHCP server right there on the RIS ? I am not sure how to set up
DHCP on it. I have a couple of addresses to have ti give out. I have DHCP
service int\stalled though as it shows on under [administrative tools]
Thanks
Dave

You sure can!

If your RIS server is not part of a domain:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323416

If your RIS server IS part of a domain, the steps are very similar, only you
have to "authorize" the DHCP server in AD:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300429

Hope that helps,
