Using Risetup, when prompted for Installation Source File Location, I
continue to get a File Missing splash screen. It says "A file that is needed
to set up the installation image on the server was not found". I've tried
pointing to XPSP2 CD (just the SP, we don't have the OS CD with SP2), the XP
OS with SP1 CD, the i386 directory from SP2.

What is it looking for that I'm not providing? THX.

Hi John,

you need to present the entire OS CD.
So if you load your CD into E:, at the time it prompts you for the
Source, just specify the drive letter it should be fine.

In any case, you can also make a slipstreamed CD (XP RTM with SP2).
Here are the general steps.
1. Copy the entire CD contents of your XP RTM into a directory in your
computer. eg; C:\XPRTM.
2. Using the XPSP2.exe (SP2 file). Run XPSP2exe /integrate:c:\temp
3. After the integration completes, you have a directory that contains
XP with SP2 slipstreamed.

Have fun.
