RIS - add to domain problem – NOBODY KNOW HOW TO RESOLVE IT :(

I started new thread there because nobody know what to do with it


I configured RIS to rebuild Windows XP on client machine, everything is
working OK (http://hq.fast-mobile.com/~sms/ris.gif) expect automatic
adding to domain after installing Windows XP (The domain doesn’t exists
http://hq.fast-mobile.com/~sms/Innco...omain_Name.gif)

The clue:
NetpValidateName: checking to see if 'sbsmenis.edu.pl' is valid as type
3 name
NetpCheckDomainNameIsValid for sbsmenis.edu.pl returned 0x54b
NetpCheckDomainNameIsValid [ Exists ] for 'sbsmenis.edu.pl' returned 0x54b


and transmission captures - http://hq.fast-mobile.com/~sms/1.cap
http://hq.fast-mobile.com/~sms/2.cap

From capture files you can find that after asking DNS about Domain
Controller workstation ignore answer and instead of asking LDAP ask
about Domain Controller using NETBIOS.

I can skip adding to domain, creating WORKGROUP and after rebooting
client machine I can add workstation to domain without any problems.


I give out only one DNS server address.

As I said I can't get workstations' ipconfig because it is first but so
I have not access to the shell (command line). There is workstations'
ipconfig, but this workstation is connected to 2 networks
(sbsmenis.edu.pl and hq.abg.com.pl) moreover the workstation has vmware
installed.
Of course workstation used during test is a clean one and connected only
to the network with IP 172.23.197.0/24.
