Hi, Just a stupid little question…
I have two Linux – boxes trying to communicate with each other by
using one of the commands REXEC or RSH.
I have made this program which must start another program over the
network at a specific location.
When I use manually use REXEC I get: "Connection refused" and the same
goes for RSH.
As far as I know I may have to setup at file at the remote computer
called: "hosts.equiv". In the file I wrote:

LocalComputerName +

This seems to give the same "Connection refused" result when I use the
REXEC and RSH command.

Anyway I red that I have to install the REXECD – remote execution
service… Is that necessary for using the REXEC command?
The same goes for the RSH command with the RSHD service…

By the way which of the to commands are the most preferable?

Regards

Neither. Use ssh; if you need it not to ask for a password look into
key-based authentication.
