Hi,

I'm trying to administrator a machine that has many shares that
probably shouldn't be shared. I can see the shares on a client by
viewing

\\[MachineName]

I want to know what folder the shares are pointing to? How can I find
out, other than traversing through folders going insane.

Thanks,
Cyp.

Open the Computer Management console. You can do this on the computer
hosting the shares or from another machine by selecting Connect to another
computer. Expand System Tools, expand Shared Folders, click on Shares. The
display shows the shared folder name and the local path.

Go to the "Manage your Computer" Applet
(Right-click My Computer--> choose Manage)
Go to the shares object
It should list the shares and the physical location
