resynch to drop in UPSTREAM SNR?

at exactly midnight last night, my logs show the router resynched, and
lost about 5dB *upstream* S/N .I didn't do nuthin!

Downstream speed is no better and no worse, neither is upstream

Anybody have any idea what might have happened? BT fiddling with the
rates again?
