Reset MAC hw address??

Hello!

Is the a way to reset the MAC address (stored in the NIC's hardware/firmware), if I
previously changed it using 'ifconfig hwaddr' or 'ip link set addr'?

Please respond via e-mail too...

You can unload the module and load it again, I suppose it
will change the MAC to the original address.

Yes you can buy a new network card and presto...a new MAC address.

Yeah, but you can also use ifconfig (with luck and a good driver).
SOmething like hw ether foo, I shoudl imagine, according to the man
page.
