If anyone has a minute to spare, could you do a traceroute to
ivy.southportcomputers.co.uk (82.195.155.161) and post the results?

Having trouble getting to it from here and the hosting company says they
can get to it fine.

Presumably traceroute is firewalled past this point, telnets to port 80
connect happily from both locations.

Cheers for the help folks, just wondering if you can also post a
confirmation of whether you can get to http://www.southportcomputers.co.uk
from the same connections. The hosts are currently suggesting a problem
with backbone routing but so far everything seems to be getting into their
network.

Thanks folks, the problem resolved itself before I figured out exactly
where the problem was. Looked like packets from me were being delivered to
the secondary interface on the router at my hosts so either a problem with
the transit company (Smart Telecomms) or a problem with the hosts router
getting confused as to which interface it was using.
Here's to hoping it doesn't come back..

I got a similar result to phantom, i.e. reached

8: [82.195.128.7] corerouter1.hosting365.ie
( 45 ms) ! ( 44 ms) ! ( 42 ms) !
9: (No reply) * (No reply) * (No reply) *

But if the traceroute were being stopped by a firewall after this, as
phantom suggests, how is it that Kraftee and Charlie Drake were able to
go on from the same corerouter1.hosting365.ie and complete the trace?
Could some kind person please explain it to me?
