Hi,

We have used our Lucent Avaya P882R backbone switch and its side
switches P333 familiy for years and with full satisfaction until the
"End of Sale" announcement for December 2004.

We are now in the market for a replacement for it with an equivalent
or a better, if possible, system.

Any suggestions ?

The short list of features of P882R is ;

Backplane : 139 Gbps
Switching : 106 Mpps
Routing : 106 Mpps
Maximum Gigabit Ports : 128
Maximum 10/100 Ports (Telco connectors) : 768
Maximum 10/100 Ports (RJ-45) : 384
VLANs : 1000
Address Forwarding Table Entries : 24,000
Routes : 16,000
Maximum Flows : 2,560,000

For a complete features list, the datasheet of P882R can be accessed
from : http://www.wit.co.th/pdf/P882_data_sheet.pdf.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Regards.
