I am using distributed file system to set up a virtual directory tree and it
is working very well. What I am unable to do is use file replication.

This is what I do.
1) On computer A, create a folder and make it shared, giving everyone full
access. Place some files in it.
2) On computer B, create a folder and make it shared, giving everyone full
access. Do not place files in it.
3) In Distributed File System manager, right-click an existing DFS root and
select new link.
4) Under "Path to target", enter the UNC path of the shared folder on
computer A.
5) Right-click the link just created and select "New Target".
6) Under "Path to target", enter the UNC path of the shared folder on
computer B. Make sure that "Add this target to the replication set" is
checked.
7) Click "Yes" to configure replication.
8) Select the target on computer A as the initial master.
9) Select "Full mesh" as the replication topology.

As I understand it, the contents of the folder on computer A should be
copied to the folder on computer B. But the folder on computer B remains
empty. Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding something about DFS and
replication?

Both computers are running Windows Server 2003 and the file replication
service is running on both. Computer A is the PDC.

wrong forum.

Please post to
microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs

Also, post any warnings or errors in the FRS event logs
