What is the proper procedure for replacing a network card on a windows 2000
server in respect to connecting to the domain.
I assume that once you replace the network card, the machine will no longer
have access to the domain that it belongs to, since the MAC is different.

Could someone please explain what needs to be done?

Thanks!
Craig

Hi,

This should not be a problem. By default there is no connection between MAC
address and domain environment.
All you have to do is insert new network card and assign it correct IP
address (could be same IP address that old NIC had), correct DNS servers and
default gateway.
