Renumber ADSL line

What are the "gotchas" with regards to renumbering a line that has ADSL on
it?

If you don't get everybody involved (ISP as well as BT/your service
provider) you could find that a couple of months after it's all been
done & dusted, your DSL service will simply disapear & seeing as the
number it was ordered on no longer exists it would mean a completely new
set of setting up charges etc...

Yes I have known it to happen at least once in my catchment area..

Shouldn't be any in my experience, but you do need to tell your ISP what
the new number is, or things can get confusing for them.
