I am looking for a script or something that i can run that will shut down
every computer in the same OU. I have found a lot for shutting down specific
computers but not an ou. I do not want to refrence the computer names in a
file because the ou is constantly changing. Thanks Tom. Server 2003 domain
controller. XP and 2000 Clients

Have you tried using something like DSQUERY, parsing through the output for
server names, and then using the shutdown command against the resultant
output?

An OU is just a logical division of domain computers and I know of no direct
way to do such. There are tools such as PsShutDown that can use a file with
computer names which I know you don't really want to do but you could
enumerate the OU and then create the file from that info possibly using
something like Excel . -- Steve
