Hi all,
i'm in need to easily manage web surfing rights of the clients in my
network remotely.
I'm in search of an utility of some sort allowing me to grant / refuse web
surfing through a simple interface, maybe a web interface showing a
"on/off" button per client.
Is there any easy and fast utility doing this for windows server 2003?

Thanks

ISA would likely be the easiest way to use this. Or a simple proxy server.
Nothing built-in will do this, & I can't think of many methods that would
meet your requirements (easily toggled, on a per user basis). Perhaps you
could setup a bogus proxy server in some users' profiles and not permit them
to change the settings.

Hi Lanwench,
thanks for your reply.
Actually the bogus proxy solution is the one i adopted: through windows
policies i hided proxy settings and made all the clients point towards a
server running Freeproxy. Toggling freeproxy allows me to control internet
access. The only con is the unpossibility to stop internet usage on a per
user basis...

Yes, that is a problem. Perhaps you should look into ISA or third party
proxy software that will let you control this at the server.
