I am trying to do this, but no automated help seems to
help me... That's the way it always seems to be. (I think
it takes a genius to understand the help it gives you, and
a super genius to know how to work it. :P)
Anyway, I'm trying to set it to where someone can put my
IP address or something into the address bar, and it would
ask for the name and password, but I can't even figure out
how to get it to work for ME!
The problem is that I can't figure out what password and
such I have to put to be allowed access... Weird. It
already sends me to a Linksys logon thing when I put my IP
address in my address bar, then I just can't get anything
I put after that to work... Of course, I may have to ask
them about it... But ah well, I figure the best ones to
help me are the ones that made the OS. :P

I'm not sure if I understand what you're actually trying to
achieve, since you never indicate what method you're
using for remote access.

A popular (and free!) product to access PCs remotely is
WinVNC.

If your external IP address varies from one session to the
other then you may need something like ipupdater or
No-IP duc to broadcast your address. Both are free.

Lastly, depending on your exact configuration, you may
need to configure your firewall and perhaps your router
to ensure that external access requests are routed to
the correct PC, and are not blocked by firewall rules.

If this is too general then I suggest you spell out your
requirements in detail.
