Hi All

Is there anyone out there familiar with the RPC problems
in windows 2003? I am experiencing the worst problem ever
withe RPC on three different servers running windows 2003.
The tech support provided on the knowledge base site does
not work for me. It's so discouraging, I am begining to
look at other options. It seems that microsoft does not
have a remedy or a final resolution to resolve the RPC
problem.

This is the exact error without error code number:
"RPC call service was initiated by NT Authority/Systems.
Windows must restart because remote procedure call (RPC)
terminated unexpectedly."
Then the system shut itself down and reboot. Now, I don't
know what to do next, I already tried everything I know,
please help me! Thanks a million, I appreciate it.

Michel,

Have you virus scanned those computers? That is descriptive of the behavior of some
common worms such as blaster. Be sure to virus scan with the latest definitions. The
free Sysclean from Trend Micro is a malware detection and removal tool for many
common viruses and worms. If it is a worm, keeping current with critical updates
probably would have prevented it.--- Steve

No! You can rule out any virus problem. This is initial
installation, severs are not even configured for operation
yet. Initial configuration is not complete when the error
message starts. Thanks for answering.

OK. I have not had any similar problems with W2003 and your symptoms are the same as
a common worm. It might help to look at what processes are running on it and look in
Event Viewer for any clues. Booting into safe mode may help prevent shutdown to give
you time to troubleshoot. -- Steve
