Remote network - access is denied

Hi,

I have a PDC running Server 2003 SP2 and a BDC also running 2003 SP2. In my
network places we can see all the networks we are connected to via VPN. When
I access one network from the PDC I can gain access no problem. However, when
the BDC tied to access the same remote network it angs, then says 'access is
denied. you may not have permission to access this network resource...' Even
some XP SP2 PCs on the network can access this remote network, it's lterally
just the BDC.

Any ideas what this could be? Nothin has been reported in Event Viewer on
either the BDC or any firewall logging on the remote network.

Thanks

Chris

Thanks for the reply.

It says System error 5 as occurred
Access is denied

I did then start / run / \\<remote server IP> logged in and then tried the
above you suggested...
This time it let me and showed all the shares / resources. However, it still
wont let me through My Network Places. The reason for this is Symantec Backup
Exec uses my network places to view all the remote data...not just the
shares, and without this Symantec wont work.

Anything else to try?

The system error 5 is permission or firewall issue. Do you have any security software block the access?
