Remote monitoring

Hi all,

I'm planning to do some remote monitoring for my customers. I want to
primarily check if the computer's alive or not, but I wouldn't mind getting
stats on services and load as well. I also wouldn't mind, but this is way
down on my list, to be able to monitor *nix boxes as well. I don't care if I
have to install apps on the client or not.

Anyone know about something that works well?

Cheers!
