Is there any way in WIN 98 or a utility to specify the
user name and password when connecting to a remote share?
I basically need the dialog box that WIN 2000 uses to
connect to a remote share that allows you to specify a
user name and a password. May need to upgrade to WIN 2000.

Nope, sorry; Windows 98 supports changing the password only, not the name.

Unfortunately Windows 98 doesn't have the capability to passon a specific
username for each connection unlike Windows 2000 where you can specify a
different username/password for each connection.
