Remote File Access problem with XP Client

Last week we did a migration from NT to 2003 Server.
Since then the remote users with a XP-client have problem
with opening documents on the server.
..
Whe are using VPN over a Internet connection.
..
We don't have this problem when we are using a NT-client
..

Could you please give us more information on what you mean by having
problems opening files? Is it slow, do they begin to open the not open or
do you get any specific error messages when opening the files? Also,
please be specific in type of files that are having problems. Do you
have problems copying the files localing from the servers?
