Hello,
If you establish a VPN connection, you should be able to use Remote Desktop.
But, this depends on your network setup. Do you have any problems using
remote desktop once you have established the VPN-connection? If so, please
include the exact error message. Also verify that you have no firewall that
stops you from using this.
You can use Remote Desktop directly from Internet without VPN. What you need
in this case is the IP of the machine you want to connect to. But, if your
network is secure, this would not be possible without forwarding to the
correct machine from your firewall.
What i'm trying to say is, using Remote Desktop over Internet is not
different than using it within office. But you need to open the correct
ports.
Without your error message, i cannot tell you what could be wrong in your
case, if you have any problems.
