Remote Desktop problem

I connect with PcAnywhere to a client site that has a Windows 2003 Server
and 5 connected workstations (WS1-WS5). Each of the workstations has Remote
Desktop enabled.

From the server I can access WS2 with Remote Desktop, but when trying to
access any of the other 4 workstations I get the message:

The specified remote computer could not be found...

However, if I remote to WS2 first, then I can remote to all 4 of the other
workstations from it.

Also, any shared directories on the other 4 WS will show up in My Network
Places on the server.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance,
Valerie Hough

Check to see if the windows firewall is turned on for any of these
workstations. If so, turn it off and try again.

Do all of the workstations have the user set up in the Remote Desktop users
group?

I'm not sure how to set that up. I am always logged on as DOMAIN
Administrator. Is this user setup still necessary?
Thanks,
Valerie Hough

I've found the users have to be in the Remote Desktop group. I don't
have a domain (yet) so I do it on the local machines.

Because you don't have "naming". VPN does not provide "naming". You have
to include a WINS or DNS (preferably both) in the TCP/IP settings of the
Dialup Connectiod.
