Do I do that by typing either of the following and command prompt: telnet
ipofmachine:3389 or nameofmachine:3389 (obviously substituting ipofmachine
or nameofmachine for actual info)?

I took 2 computers, one that has had no issues with computers connecting to
it remotely, and one that has, and put them on a linksys router switch of
their own.
The problem continued to happen. I couldn't connect to the new machine from
the one I already had, but I could connect from the new one to the one I
already had.
I can't find any firewall settings on the new machine, etc.

Is the port 3389 or 3369? Or this troubleshooting link may help,
Troubleshooting terminal server issues "Because of a network error, the
session will be disconnected. Please try to reconnect" ... The Terminal
server has ended the connection ...

I've just set up some new PCs. I've enabled Remote Desktop on them, and
added my usual users.
The Windows Firewall is disabled on them for other purposes.
When I try to remotely connect to one of the PCs, I get this message "The
connection was ended because of a network error. Please try connecting to
the remote computer again."
I did do a netstat -a and see that it is in fact listening on Port 3369.
I can ping the machines by name or IP no problem.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
Thanks,
Glenn
