I was trying to use Remote Desktop with one of the
computers on my network but I am unable to do so. I have
tried connecting using the IP Address of the computer and
of the base station but I can't figure it out. Is there
some kind of security issues with the MN-500 base station
that is limiting my access? Am I using the right IP
Address or is the one that shows up on my computer (via
ipconfig) simply an internal IP Address and unaccessable
from the internet?...If so how do I find the IP Address
that I'm suppose to use for Remote Desktop? Any advice
would be appreciated! Thanks a ton!

Dave

The router firewall is blocking the access (as it should)

You need also to do a port forwarding (I don't remember
the port nbr) on the router. The port number is probably
documented on the help for the software. Otherwise, use
the WAN IP that shows on the home page of the router --
the public IP of the network -- and not the PC IP (the
port forwarding on the router performs the re-routing).

If you want to check the port forwarding from within the
LAN, make sure the base station firmware is recent (the
1.11.017), since some older versions don't support
loopback.
