Assuming you enabled RRAS on this server, the RRAS add another IP perhaps routing table to the server. To confirm that, check the ipconfig /all and routing table.

I am currently using Windows 2000 Server as a standalone server. DNS
is installed, but no Active Directory domain exists. Terminal Services
is installed and works fine until a modem dial is initiated from
remote desktop.
If I try to dial out with the modem while in remote desktop (connected
at the physical LAN) then it's fine. If I try the same thing, but
remotely accessing terminal services, then my session gets
disconnected. I can reconnect and my session will still be active, but
the pain of it is that it keeps disconnecting whenever a modem dial is
started when working remotely.
I just need to know how to fix this or what to look for.
Thanks.
