I have the server setup as the Domain Controller. When trying to connect to
it from a laptop running XP Pro SP3, I can connect with an Administrators
account but not a standard user even though they are in Remote Desktop Users
group and I added them to Print Operators group, so they had local login
rights. Is this because it's a DC or is there something I'm missing? I
did edit the default Group Policy to allow remote desktop connections.

The message that pops up says I need to be in the Remote Desktop Users group
and have local login rights to the server but I've already set this.

Hello Danny C.,

Just to get you correct the account is in the "DOMAIN remote desktop users"
group? And you configure/link a GPO in the DC's OU or use the Default domain
controllers policy?

Best regards

The account is in the Remote Desktop Users on the server in AD. I used the
default group policy on the server.
