I have enabled port forwarding through persistent port
forwarding so that i can access my home computer from
anywhere i want. I can connect thru my laptop when i
home, but cannot when I am away from home. (gives me "no
network with that IP address found" message). My IP
address is static along with the right Port #...but
doesnt seem to work away from home.
Just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is...

I use VNC with my network (MN-700) both internally and externally. I have
dedicated ports that are redirected to specific private IP addresses. So
when I log into xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port yyyy it directs me to PC#1, yyyz
directs me to PC#2. It doesn't have all the authentication against my PDC,
but it is such a low probability of attack that simple password protection
is sufficient. Anyways, all the good stuff isn't on my network or networked
computers.

Make sure you are using the WAN ip (plus the port if it isn't the default
3389) and not the LAN ip of the computer in question.
