Hello All. I'm having trouble with Windows 98 clients
connecting through the VPN to the RAS server. The WAN
Miniports supported are PPTP and L2TP. I noticied the 98
clients only support WAN Miniports with ATW. The
Microsoft VPN Adapter on 98 isn't working either. How
can I get these 98 clients to successfully connect
through the RAS server? Any help would greatly be
appreciated. Thank you.

Try applying the Dial-up Networking 1.4 upgrade to the Win98 machine. This
is the link for Win98SE:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Win98 is:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

The first thing to check is that you have the latest version of DUN
installed on the W98 client.

I don't have any W98 clients to check this, but the only trouble I had
in the past with W98 clients was with domain names. If you are trying to
connect to a standalone server, make sure there is no sign of a domain name
in the client's connection properties anywhere.

Have you tried connecting locally (ie over the LAN using the server's
LAN IP)?
