Remembering User name and Password

When I try to login to my company's protected Microsoft Outlook Web Access
web-site the login box does not:

a) Remember the login user name in the pull down
b) Offer to save the password tick box
c) Show the domain name box, yet my_domain\user_name works well.

I'm running Windows XP Home with SP2 and IE6. My Windows 2000 Professional
system does offer these capabilities. How do I enable them?

I'll respond to my own request as nobody else replied.

The problem is now fixed as a box popped up asking if I wanted this user
name and password remembered on this computer. I affirmed that I did and
since then it has done just that.

Thank you Microsoft for designing software that corrects itself.
