IEEE standards that have been released for more than 6 months are available
free. Go to:
http://standards.ieee.org/getieee802/
This does not include 802.11g, which was only finished a couple of months
ago, or 802.11i (work in progress).
WEP is fully defined in 802.11/1999.
You need the 802.11/1999 standard, plus 802.11b/1999 and
802.11b/1999-corr1-2001, as well as 802.11a/1999 for "a" networks. The
discussion in 802.11a on OFDM will give some insight into 802.11g encoding
at bitrates over 11Mbps.
