I've ONLY got 64 Megs of RAM ...

Yes, it is, especially with KDE or Gnome desktops -- other, light
weight, window mangers may work just fine for your needs. You may be
able to try one from your RH7.2 CDs.

Been so very long since I've used/needed one of the smaller WMs that I
won't ventrue an opinion about which ones to consider.

BTW, many people used to 7.x _hated_ the changes in 8. And because 7.2
is closely tied to RHEL, there are people out there still providing
udates for it.
