Recommended cable router

Need to upgrade to cable . Any brands that has a good record with
linux ? " Netgear , linksys , d-link " . Also includes Wireless access
with the router. I know that 802. g is not supported yet.

If you're buying a wireless router, you don't have to be worried about
802.11g support in Linux. You can still connect with 11b.

The problem isn't the router, but the way the router accesses its
properties. I have a Compaq iPAQ Connection Point CP-2W which uses a web
page interface so it can be accessed through any web browser.
