Due to the continuing fiasco with my ISP (coughplusnetcough) I am looking
for a low cost broadband account which allows *all* internet protocols inc.
P2P, does not introduce sneaky implicit changes to T&C, and with these
features
- up to 30GB/month bandwidth usage
- 512K or 1meg speed
- text & binary usenet access.
- unlimited email addresses
- some webspace (pref with at least 100MB/day bw usage quota)

As I would hopefully be able to provide a MAC code, an ISP which charges
set up separately rather than factoring it into the monthly price would
make sense.

I would also consider an ISP with no usenet that (all other things being
equal) was £4/month cheaper, as long as they allowed access to an external
news server to buy that facility in. Similarly I would accept no webspace
but would need to budget £1/mth for buying it elsewhere.

Have you looked at plusnet? They offer everything on your list to all
new users.

But only at the present moment, subject to change at the slightest whim
& when it is changed it will be backwards affecting. So you can, in
effect, fall foul of a change in the TOC that doesn't exist, at this
moment in time, at some indeterminate later date (what a way to run a
business ???)..

Heh, too true, Kraftee. I've just migrated away from plusnet and would
highly recommend that you avoid them at all costs. Sheesh, what an
unethical way to run a business...

Are they now actually disconnecting BB+ users that are idle for more
than a few minutes?

Our MAX Home Allowance service provides you with the maximum speed your
line will support (up to 2Mb) with a 30GB/month peak usage allowance
(Mon-Fri 8am-10pm) and a 300GB/month allowance outside those hours.

We include unlimited email in the form of a subdomain of ukpost.com and
20MB of webspace which includes PHP, perl and mysql facilities.

Our usenet server is text only however you are free to subscribe to
another service elsewhere for binary news if you wish.

The price for this is £19.99 per month.

If you are migrating from another ISP and have a MAC there is no charge
for set up - migrations are free.
