Looking for some new kit to replace 2nd hand my `a` gear that I`ve never
managed to configure correctly.

Can anyone recommend makes/models that are of good quality & well put
together that maybe available in uk ?

Will need a wireless PCI card, Cardbus car & router etc. - maybe interested
in USB equipment if it is available,

Any ideas (more concerned about makes at this stage)

I have bought one and it took me 15 mins to set up and its performing beyond
my expectations. Build quality looks very good too.

Only part I would add to this, if you are on ADSL get the ADSL modem
built into the router. In terms of the Belkin that would be the
F5D7630uk4A. Amazon have them for £114 all inclusive, I got mine at
http://www.insight.com but for £128 all inclusive.

In terms of overall setup it was an absolute breaze, best advice I can
give in setting these up is go for low security first, set the devices
so they all connect. Then tighten down.

Draytek Vigor 2600 series is probably the best adsl/modem/router/wifi kit,
easy to set up reliable, but not cheap.
Orinoco (by Proxim) is renowned for best radio on their PC cards, PCI cards
and USB adapters.
USB adapters have advantage because it's easy to position them for best
signal, sometimes half and inch makes lot of difference.
Belkin is so, so. Save time and trouble by avoiding Netgear.
Regards,
Martin
