Don't bother with the D-Link range as after sales support is chronic!

You can get Draytek Vigors on Ebay at reasonable prices, sometimes even new
ones.
That's how I got mine, I knew they are reliable as I had tan older version
for 2+ years.

Martin

Not under heavy RTP traffic they dont. Mine will lock up and need resetting
if continuous rtp traffic is put through it

My Linksys was rebooting itself every 90 minutes, whilst my Netgear was
lasting upto 36 hours.....

My Draytek Vigor 2600We NEVER needed rebooting in over two years and the
only time I saw it
(it's in the attic) was when I upgraded the firmware to make VoIP work.
My current 2600VGi has been on since June...

Martin

and how many GB of peer-to-peer traffic do you handle each month ?

I'm not really interested in the number of GB, but whether your router gets
heavy use, because that appears to be the cause of some problems, and while
a Draytek unit may be unaffected, it is in a price range of little interest
to many people, I suspect, unless they can benefit from having one to hand
for professional reasons too.

Personally I use no peer-to-peer aplications so have not had the 'benefit'
of this experience with routers in the past 30+ months :-) Peter M.
