I'v had the Linksys BEFSR41 for more than a year, never had a problem, and
I found it simple to configure.

My dad has got a Solwise router and can recommend it for each of
configuration and reliability. There are occasional (once every few months)
problems with the ADSL link being dropped, but these are easily solved by
rebooting the router which can be done from a browser on the network and
takes about a minute.

When I was originally setting it up I had a few problems with configuring it
so I phoned their customer support line. It took a while (probably about 10
minutes) to get thorugh, but I was kept informed of my position in the queue
each time I moved up the queue. And when I got through I had the rare
experience of talking to a support engineer who was helpful and
knowledgeable, rather than the usual patronising teenager or person with
limited command of the English language - I was talking to someone with as
much (if not more) technical knowledge as me, who was able to modify his
hand-holding spiel to suit my level of knowledge. He talked my through my
problem and had resolved it quickly. I was very impressed.

When eventually get broadband - my exchange is due for upgrade next April -
I'll probably go for a Solwise router on the strength of my experience with
the company.
