Anyone give me some good models of AP/router/firewall all in one
equipment that has win98 drivers?

Also anyone know the approx. range of most municipal wifi signals,
assuming commonly used antennas?

Hi
All Wireless Cable/DSL Routers are Firewall NAT too, they do not need
Drivers, and they are compatible with all versions of Windows.
This page includes recommendations as well as summary of common performance.
Wireless Hardware - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Hardware.html
This might help too.
Wireless - Basic Configuration: http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.html
Wireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html

Have you got a broadband connection at home? Do you now want a wireless
connection for your system(s)?

If the answer is YES then I would recommend U S Robotics Model USR9108
just released in UK but has been around worldwide since June 2005.
