Recommend? a simple ping heartbeat utility?

Hello,

I have looked for a very simple ping heartbeat utility that will send me an
email if a request times out. I have found a few but they always have many
more features than I want or need. Can anybody recommend a good GUI based
utility that does just ping heartbeat monitoring?

I haven't tried this, but GFI's offerings are normally good.

There's a freeware version and a paid-for version with greater
functionality.
