Hi,
I'm looking for a 802.11a/g cardbus card (PCMCIA) for Linux.
Since support for the Prism54 chip is now included in kernel 2.6.5,
I'm planning to get a card with this chip.

My favourite is currently the Netgear WG511, because it's cheap and
seems work
well under Windows and Linux.

The only thing missing on this card is that it doesn't support an
external antenna.

I wonder if therefore the Buffalo AirStation WLI-CB-G54 card would be
a better choice.

Is anybody aware of another Prism54 card that supports an external
antenna ?

If there's any other card (no Prism54 chip)with a comparable features
set, that works well under Linux ?

Thanks in advance,
Markus

Hi Markus,
just for your information:
I'm running this Netgear 511 for a couple of months
and it works exceptionally well.
Didn't had much luck with TI chipsets though...

Peace,
Georg
