Real and Squid

Hello group.
Some users on our network want to use realplayer for videostreaming. I don't
like to do open allmost every TCP/UDP port up both in and out, and because I
have some clients with private IP#, a proxysolution would be preferred.
I have tried to configure my client to use HTTP only and pointed it to our
proxy, but it's not possible to open all clips. What am I doing wrong? Do I
need to open any specific ports on the squidbox or the firewall?

Thanks in advance

Carsten Keller

Have a look at the Squid FAQ

http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-7.html#ss7.4

I read it, but it still doesn't work. Maybe because the site I try to access
doesn't use version 4 server, as suggested in the Squid-FAQ.

I have given up, and allowed 554 trough the firewall. Then the users with
private IP will have to live with no streaming video while they're working
:-)
