Thanks Garry, that's good news, the withdrawal of this free service will
save me £2.30 per day ie over £800 pa.
This is because I visit the "Esquires" coffee outlet in Romford every day
with my wifi equipped Palm Tungsten C PDA and use the free ReadytoSurf
service to access the Internet. As I don't have the nerve to sit down in one
of Esquires' seats without buying something I order a coffee and a plain
croissant which costs £2.30.
Why is this necessary when I have excellent btopenworld broadband at home?
Well it gives me a real buzz to surf the Internet for free on my PDA in the
middle of a busy shopping mall and the coffee is good to. However as soon as
the Internet access charge changes from zero to £1.50 per half hour the buzz
will disappear and Esquires will lose me as a customer (and my £800 pa).
So 2004 is going to be great saving £2.30 per day. After 6 weeks I'll have
saved enough to buy a Pure personal DAB.
Mike.
