reading dbx files & need .net framework in place

To all: I had a glitch with opening outlook express and
the screen froze. as a result I lost all email between 5-5-
02 and 12-17-03. When I tried to see if I still had any of
the email in the system all I got was the usual squares
and odd symbols. I found a program that reads the .dbx
files but I need to have .net framewok installed.
I have
retry gateway.net setup,
default @www.netzero (2),
install gateway.net,
gateway.net -- proj files/online servers and
gateway.net
listed when I search using the .net search. Are any of
these the item that I need or do I ned something else?
Since these items are available but not installed are
any of them what I need?
