read only error

first of all i am soo grateful to MVPS , i mean they help me out and help me
out fast .. thanks


my previous situation ---


was remotely access server 2003 ( configured for remote administration ) ,
everything was working perfectly

i needed to upgraded this server soo i bought a pentium duo , 1 gb ram and
stuff

instead of upgrading i just bought a new server and transferred data from
the old machine to a new machine using a portable usb drive , everything
transferred fine


current situation :

administrator and normal users can log in perfectly - everything normal
except

i have lots of excel files -- when i log in remotely as administrator - i
have full control

but

when i log in remotely as a normal user i get read only ...




please tell me where can i gone wrong
